Heart In A Box

I came across an extraordinary piece of work last month.

My closest mate’s (Shy) sister, Snigdha, who lives in Pune had come to Bangalore for a few days. She will be graduating in Fashion Communication pretty soon. I was confused & a bit disheartened and was lucky enough to meet her to gain some clarity. Kindly enough, she said she would help by sending me a few links to get me started.

The following week she introduced me to an editorial for Dolce & Gabbana, and that was that. She also blogs, the link of which I will add in my post after next.

The sculptural handknitted collection ‘More or Less’ is inspired by organic forms, animal life and nature. Using thick woolen yarns in off-white colors, Nanna van Blaaderen experimented in combining knitting techniques with braidingtechniques. This resulted in various expressive garments of voluminous structures and forms.
