Art Power by Hicham Riad for Elle Belgium June ‘12

Kid Acne is known to some for his hip-hop recordings, to others for his street art. In this collaboration with photographer Hicham Riad for Elle Belgium it’s the graphic art that he contributes – though these cutesy cartoon creatures play musical instruments or, in one case, rock oversized hip-hop bling jewellery as if in nod to his musical roots.

It takes a young model like Robin Hölzken to interact with these illustrated creations. That’s because youth is the time before we rule the impossible out of our imaginations: imaginary creatures might just be invisible to adult eyes. Anne Rabeux’s styling shuns high heels or anything too grown-up, fitting in with the youthful vibe of this part-real, part-animated kingdom, but still playing to spring 2012′s fashion trends.

Repetition/ Reflection are one of my favorite design elements to experiment with. It plays with one’s mind and you have to look twice to make sure you’re not inebriated or going insane. :)

SAINT LAURENT SPRING/SUMMER 2013 LOOKBOOK

Saint Laurent’s debut lookbook has finally arrived! Hedi Silmane jumped behind the lens for the lookbook, shooting his own collection himself (props). Sequined blazers, slim black trousers/trench coats, and subtle hints of prints all embodied the collection (giving it a little bit of a Dior feel - which we’re totally not mad about).
