The book still sits unopened before me, on my work desk. I’m scared if I step off the edge, I’ll fall into the rabbit hole and never climb back up. *grin*
It’s 11:05 on a Tuesday evening. It’s been one of those days where I’ve just come back from work, indifferent. I’ve promised myself to read a little everyday, but I’d rather start a blog that would change my life instead.
I‘m newly 24, a visual communications graduate, living in Bangalore, India. And this blog is my ‘heart in a box’. If you don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy, you won’t be able to find the meaning of this ‘hot-diggity’ anywhere on the internet.
This, is my key to unlocking my deep-seated passion, for fashion. But not just fashion, graphic design for fashion. My inspirations, my instagrams, my work.
This is exciting.

Binu George, Flower Child. Rockstar Mommy. Carefree. Muse. She’s in her 40s. Has two adorable kids and dresses to kill, everyday to work.
Baron & Baron, Inc, was what got the ball rolling when I stumbled upon the incredible work of renowned creative director, Fabien Baron and his agency. If I remember correctly, I discovered them over a tweet (thank you Twitter!). What counts is that I can positively say, for now- this is the kind of work I want to be doing.
Their work resonates grandeur and the unconventional, unlike other fashion editorials. Especially the dichotomy between the ‘out of the ordinary’ use of type and colour (or lack of) and their intimate photographs.
They will be a recurring thought- the first of many- on this blog.

I came across an extraordinary piece of work last month.
My closest mate’s (Shy) sister, Snigdha, who lives in Pune had come to Bangalore for a few days. She will be graduating in Fashion Communication pretty soon. I was confused & a bit disheartened and was lucky enough to meet her to gain some clarity. Kindly enough, she said she would help by sending me a few links to get me started.
The following week she introduced me to an editorial for Dolce & Gabbana, and that was that. She also blogs, the link of which I will add in my post after next.
